Artist Statement

Curator. Community Storyteller. And Disability Advocate. My curatorial work is an ongoing conversation between my intersectional identity as a cultural connector who continues to bridge communities of belonging and comfort within isolated spaces. Most recently explored in my From Hear to Here mentorship program and pass on, pass off residency, I foster collaborations between cultural communities, artists and creators – through the Disability Justice lens and alternative ways of learning – by uplifting stories and IBPOC voices. These have been demonstrated in panel talks, professional development workshops and group exhibitions – in private and public forums led by d/Disabled and IBPOC artists. Through curatorial projects, I continue to seek collaborations with emerging artists and IBPOC communities within disability circles. My practice connects knowledge sharing and community relations into temporary moving hubs of stories and historical place makers for the next generation of artists. Find my next project in 2026-27, with Letters to 公公 (Gong Gong) a collective-sharing publication to send letters to loved ones transcending language within the Asian diaspora.
